GBRT U23 &Senior November Trials

NUBC sent three athletes and two coxes to Boston in early November to take part in the GBRT U23 & Senior November Trials, with some very strong outcomes.

Men’s Pair- Edward Ridley and Gwilym Johnson

Edward Ridley (Stroke) and Gwilym Johnson (Bow) in the Men’s Pair

Edward Ridley and Gwilym Johnson both completed the 2km erg on the Saturday, then took to the water in their pair on the Sunday. The pair raced the 5km course in 17 minutes and 40 seconds, less than one second off of first place. They won the U23 division, and came second overall, which is a massive achievement!

Women’s Single- Megan Johnston

Megan Johnston completed the 2km erg on the Saturday, then took to the water on the Sunday to race the 5km time trial. Completing the course in 21 minutes and 47 seconds, she placed 49th overall- another strong result.
