World Rowing Championships 2025

NUBC had four alumni racing at the World Rowing Championships in Shanghai from the 21st-28th September.

Dan Graham and James Robson became World Champions in the Men's Four, beating strong crews from Romania, the Netherlands and Lithuania in their final which they dominated the whole way down the course.

Will Stewart claimed silver in the Men's Eight, overtaking the US crew in an incredible sprint finish in the last 250 meters of the race.

Lola Anderson also claimed a silver medal in Shanghai, beating crews from Germany, Romania and New Zealand, and narrowly missing out on gold.

Jonas Ritcher placed 9th in the Men's Pair at his first Senior World Championships, racing for Sweden.

Well done to all of our alumni, and we can't wait to see what the upcoming season brings!
